KUWAIT, Feb 2 (KUNA) -- Assistant Executive Commander of the Security Committee for the preparation, processing and implementation of the National Assembly elections 2012 Major General Sulaiman Al-Fahad said on Thursday the senior leadership of the Ministry of is keen on the integrity and transparency of the elections to come out in a civilized image consistent with the long history of Kuwaiti democratic experience.
Al-Fahad, during an inspection tour of a number of polling stations, expressed his satisfaction with the smooth flow of the electoral process that is going according to the established security measures in order for these elections to be in the pompous image.
He praised the spirit of cooperation between voters and candidates with the security men who are making great efforts to secure success of these elections, congratulating all Kuwaiti citizens of this celebration of democracy.
For his part, general coordinator of the security committee for the preparation of the National Assembly elections 2012, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Education and Training Lieutenant General Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah toured a number of polling stations.
He became acquainted with the smooth flow of the electoral process and met a number of voters who expressed content of the voting process.
For his part, Undersecretary of the Interior Ministry, chief commander of the security committee for the preparation, processing and implementation of the National Assembly elections 2012 Major General Ghazi Abdul Rahman Al-Omar said there is a broad international anticipation for the Kuwaiti democratic experience.
Al-Omar said in a press statement during an inspection tour of a number of polling stations, that this anticipation was a result of Kuwaiti democracy being a unique model and clear proof of the effective and positive cohesion between the leadership and the people and the participation of citizens in making their present and shape their future.
He added that the supreme political leadership, represented by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah are keen that these elections come out in the best image that is worthy of the status of Kuwait at the regional and international levels.
