Israel claims it''s been UNHRC''s victim

GENEVA, Sept 27 (KUNA) -- Israel expressed doubts on Monday during a United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) session, noting that council was biased in its investigation over Gaza-bound aid flotilla attack last May, calling on the council not to transfer its report to the United Nations in New York.
Israel's Ambassador to the UN in Geneva, Aharon Leshno Yaar said during the council's discussion, that "UNHRC has continually been one-sided and obsessively biased, it did not matter that steps were taken by Israel to protect its citizens while limiting damage whenever possible to Palestinian civilians." The Israeli ambassador noted that the council has issues 33 decisions throughout the past four years, half of them were unjust and against Israel, referring to the council's six special sessions which have established a special item on Israel in all the council's sessions.
Yaar added that "given these processes, and Israel's significant efforts, it is time to bring activities from this hall to a conclusion," adding that the UNHRC should spend more time investigating "real" humans rights violations.
Last week, the UNHRC released a report criticizing Israel for failing to properly investigate violations committed by Israeli Special Forces last May which resulted in killing nine peace activists and injuring many others during the Gaza-bound aid campaign dubbed the Freedom Flotilla.
