The first goal was scored at the 27th minute by Qadsiya striker Khalaf Salamah who received the ball from teammate striker Bader Al-Mutawa into the goalkeeper's zone, wasting no time and shot the ball right of Khalid Al-Fadli.
Hopes for Kuwait team were rejuvenated after their professionally Syrian player Jihad Al-Hussain scored the crucial equalizer at the 86th minute.
Al-Hussain received a lobbing ball from another professional player Oman's Ismail Al-Ajmi and his header diverted the ball left of Qadsiya goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Khaldi.
