KUWAIT, Jan 20 (KUNA) -- Iraqi foreign minister Hoshyar Zebari said Tuesday the Arab Economic Summit's biggest achievement was His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah's initiative for inter-Arab conciliation.
Zebari, speaking to KUNA, said King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia's speech and his vision to overcome differences was positively welcomed by all participants and helped in achieving conciliation.
He said this conciliation needed to be translated into deeds and noted that the situation in the Arab arena needed such initiatives.
The political developments specially the conditions in Gaza Strip have not affected the economic aspect of the summit, said Zebari, and said he was looking forward to implementing the resolutions for the economic development in the Arab countries.
