BAGHDAD, April 3 (KUNA) -- Seven people at least were killed and 12 others
were injured on Wednesday when a suicide bomber drove a car rigged with
explosives into a manned-checkpoint in western Mosul, a Ninava commander
spokesman told KUNA Thursday.
"A suicide bomber was driving a car packed with explosives and detonated
himself in Adaya city, 25-km southwest of Mosul, Brigadier Khalid Abdul-Sattar
said.
The explosion killed seven civilians at least including a woman and a five
year-old child. Twelve others were injured including five children, and three
army personnel.
The corpses were handed to the coroner's office, while the injured were
taken to hospital.(end)
