KUWAIT, March 8 (KUNA) -- Chairman and Managing Director of the Gulf Bank
Bassam Al-Ghanim said the bank's International Banking Group contributed in
widening its activities to cover the whole Gulf region.
Speaking to the shareholders at the bank's regular General Assembly,
Al-Ghanim said that the group also contributed effectively in building
relations with big multi-national companies that are interested in the strong
Kuwaiti economy.
The Gulf Bank achieved record profits and growth, making a net profit of KD
130.4 million in 2007, 23 percent more than the previous year, he said.
The share profit increased 23 percent and reached 122.1 fils, while the
bank's capital grew 25 percent and exceeded KD five billion, he added.
The bank has a network of 42 branches in Kuwait.(end)
