KUN0040 4 GEN 0216 KUWAIT /KUNA-BCS3 POL-IRAN-VENEZUELA-KHATAMI Khatami leaves Venezuela to participate in G 15 summit TEHRAN, Feb 26 (KUNA) -- Iranian President Mohammed Khatami left Venzuela Thursday to take part in the conference of the G 15 summit of developing countries. Khatami, who is to deliver a speech at the conference, will hold discussions with participating leaders on bilateral and regional relations, as well as cooperation with member countries within framework of international organizations. The G 15 was established in 1989 with an initiative made by leaders of several non-aligned countries. It inclued 15 members when f irst established but the number later rose to 19. The gathering aims at achieving the greatest coordination possible between countries of the third world, on international developments and to move towards political and economic goals in a new international system. The group holds 19 non-aligned members; Venzuela, Iran, India, Egypt, Algeria, Malaysia, Indonesia, Nigeria, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, Kenya, Chile, Colombia, Jamaica, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Senegal, and Mexico. President Mohamed Khatami is being accompanied by delegation of ministers, including Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi and the Minister of Industry and Minerals Ishaq Gehanghiri.
