MALDIVES MINISTER OF JUSTICE CONCLUDES VISIT KUWAIT, JUNE 4 (KUNA) -- THE MALDIVES MINISTER OF JUSTICE AHMED ZAHIR CONCLUDED A TWO-DAY VISIT TO KUWAIT AND LEFT BACK HOME AFTER TALKS WITH KUWAITI JUSTICE MINISTER SAAD AL-HASHEL ON MEANS TO BOOST COOPERATION AMONG JUDICIAL BODIES IN THE TWO COUNTRIES.
ZAHIR SAID IN STATEMENTS TO KUNA BEFORE DEPARTURE THAT HIS VISIT WAS PART OF MOVES TO BOOST BILATERAL TIES IN ALL DOMAINS.
THOUGH THE VISIT WAS SHORT, IT WAS VERY INTERESTING DUE TO THE IMPORTANT INFORMATION HE GOT FROM KUWAITI OFFICIALS HE MET, HE SAID.
ZAHIR ALSO MET DURING THE VISIT H.H. THE AMIR SHEIKH JABER AL-AHMAD AL-JABER AL-SABAH, CHAIRMAN OF THE HIGHER JUDICIAL COUNCIL CHIEF JUSTICE MUHAMMAD YUSIF AL-RIFAI, HIS DEPUTY ABDALLAH AL-ISSA AND CHAIRMAN OF THE COURT OF APPEAL RASHED AL-HAMAD.
AL-HASHEL SAID WHILE SEEING OFF THE MALDIVES MINISTER THE VISIT CAME TO CONFIRM KUWAIT'S SUPPORT TO THE MALDIVES IN THE JUDICIAL DOMAIN.
HE SAID THAT ZAHIR EXPRESSED HIS WISH TO GET BENEFIT FROM THE KUWAITI EXPERIENCE IN THE JUDICIAL FIELD INCLUDING TRAINING COURSES FOR MALDIVES' JUDICIAL BODIES.
THE UNDERSECRETARY OF THE JUSTICE MINISTRY MISHARI AL-MUTAIRI AND A NUMBER OF MINISTRY OFFICIALS ALSO SAW OFF THE MALDIVES MINISTER. (END) BMJ.MAB KUNA 042223 Jun 00NNNN
