AMMAN, July 19 (KUNA) -- Jordanian Princess Alia Tabbaa praised the Kuwaiti
participation at the International Arab Youth Congress, currently held in
Amman. During the opening of an exhibition as part of the congress' activities,
the Princess lauded the Kuwaiti engagement that reflected the Kuwaiti modern
culture. Head of the Kuwaiti delegation, Mona Al-Hassa, told KUNA on Thursday that
there was a display of the political history and the modern architecture of
the state of Kuwait. The Kuwaiti section of the exhibition also included a
display of great array of local books that shed light on cultural and social
Kuwaiti values. Handicraft, popular foods and folkloric products attracted the attention of
many of the exhibits' visitors, Al-Hassan noted. She noted that the one-week youth congress, concluded on Wednesday, was a
great opportunity that gathered Arab youth from 17 countries in one place
where they connected spiritually and intellectually.
The congress was organized by the King Hussein Foundation's National Centre
for Culture and Arts (NCCA). This year's theme, "New Media and Development",
was selected to raise awareness on the impact of media on human beings. (end)
